Birds of Shustoke Reservoir Warwickshire. Shustoke Reservoir lies two miles east of Coleshill on th B4114 Coleshill to Furnace End Road, south of the River Bourne. At 1.5km west to east, the main pool is only 400m at its widest point. The River Bourne feeds the smaller eastern pool (8 acres), the water is then transferred to the main reservoir (92 acres). Poor bird photography in the Tame Valley. A simple blog of my attempts to photograph birds within the Tame Valley on the Warwickshire / Staffordshire border. Sunday, 22 January 2012. Year list ticks were Skylark, Reed Bunting, Grey lag Goose, White-fronted Goose. Other birds of note were several Red Kite, Kestrel. And Buzzard, Great Spotted Woodpecker Canada Geese, Wigeon, Teal, Mute Swan. And a Reeves Pheasant.
