Sunday, March 23, 2008. Easter is celebrated a bit different here in the US. It does not seem to be as big as it is back in Australia. Nearly everyone works or goes to school on Good Friday and Easter Monday, they do not have the day off. So, I worked on Good Friday but only for half a day, my host mum gave me the afternoon off so that was great. My host family gave me an Easter present, chocolate bunny, gumboots and socks. I thought that was really thoughtful of them and I really appreciated it.

Monday, April 14, 2008. Boston, Ice Skating and Amusement Park. Well, it has been a busy couple of weeks. The children keep me busy during the week and on weekends I'm catching up with friends and going to church. Sunday 6th March I finally went ice skating for an au pair meeting. It was not as much fun as I thought it would be and I don't think I will go again. I gave it a shot and managed not to fall down but it is not something I will be doing again in a hurry. The first weekend they were here, we spent it with Kerri, Paul and the girls. On the Saturday we invited people over from church in the afternoon and had a BBQ and swam in the pool. Sunday, February 17, 2008. Here are some pictures of the house that I will be living in for the next year. As you can see, there is a lot of snow at the moment. This is the walk way to the front door, it is usually clear but there hasn't been a chance to shovel the snow away yet.
