Home on the Range: Summer at Sigh-Bar
http://l-jc.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-at-sigh-bar.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. One of our very favorite times of the year is the summer days we spend at Sigh-Bar in Montana. The sun usually warms up the afternoons nicely, but morning and evening temperatures are quite lovely - chilly, jacket-wearing, sit-on-the porch temps. There is nothing like the cool, clean, crisp, mountain air. On Tuesday evening where he could take his turn holding the fire hose and helping the firemen put out the "fires" on a burning house. To pick up the horse. And sang "Happy Birth...

Tuesday, June 3, 2014. 4 celebrations = 61! How many birthday parties does it take to take the sting out of turning 61? I did my best with 4 celebrations on 4 different days:. Then, we celebrated with Chinese lunch. Party #1 = shopping and lunch with Lee. 2 Alex and Amy felt a little bad that there was not going to be any type of fun on my actual birth date, so they invited me to join them at Alee's for lunch. We feasted on take-out favorites from. Party #4 = family fun on the patio. 12 - Peyton Thorpe.

Wednesday, November 27, 2013. My Name is Max and I Am Thankful For…". The 24 kids in Max's class put on a play about the first Thanksgiving as part of their reading project titled "Thank you, Squanto". I actually learned a lot, too! Funny what you forget as you get older. Mr Knightstep narrated. Most kids didn't speak but Max did have one line "Let us go away from this country! Imagine how great it would have been! Happy Thanksgiving, All! Snowy day getting off the bus after the play).

Monday, May 11, 2015. The Great "Frod" Adventure. We were excited to pick them up at the airport and bring them home to introduce them to Sigh-Bar. After checking out our little piece of heaven on earth and a late lunch, we decided to ride into Whitefish for some local homemade ice cream at Sweet Peaks. We loved sitting around the fire, roasting marshmallows, and getting caught up on the latest happenings in each other's families. We lingered over breakfast Monday morning and took our time getting things...

Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Leo was with the Cosby family, and Aunt Amy helped him and her girls make pink cupcakes for June's birth day. They were all so anxious to come to the hospital and meet little June and have a turn holding her close. We are so grateful to welcome sweet baby June into our family, and for her safe arrival. Alex and Nicholas are very loving and patient parents, and are blessed with a beautiful family. Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Summer Vacations - Part III. 12 - Peyton Thorpe.

Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Family time . then on to Sigh-Bar. Dad fell, and has had a tough couple of weeks in the hospital, so it was fortunate timing to be able to spend some time with him. He is slowly recovering, but definitely needs to be in an assisted care facility, so we were happy to be able to help move some of his furniture, etc., into his room at the Seasons of Santaquin. We got the royal treatment staying with Charles and Audra, and were happy to get to see all of their family too. When ou...

Thursday, June 12, 2014. A Puppy For Max. We are finally giving in. Max has begged for a dog for years and we have always said no. We know who would really take care of him, right? For a few years having an outdoor cat sufficed as a pet, even though in our experience you don't really play with a cat like you do a dog. (no offense cat lovers) Our kitty didn't want much to do with us unless we were giving her food. It was perfect timing. Fate even. Here are some photos of the day Max and Flip met. Max ...

Thursday, May 8, 2014. Road trip . again! Last spring we drove the flatbed truck to Montana and swapped it for the GMC, Hurlee. The flatbed is great around the ranch, but has only one bench seat (which doesn't do the job when the family is visiting), so Lee kept his vehicular radar tuned and finally found a perfect solution: Surlee. A matching Yukon XL with three seats and lots of room. Thus, another road trip this spring to take Surlee home. Aka the "Fart and Slobber Inn,". It was so delayed arriving in...
