JAKE, KALEI, and LYLA. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Wow being a mom is so THE BEST. That's all I have to say! Every day just get's better and better and it's a lot of fun. I just feel so blessed to have such a great baby and I feel so lucky to be where we are right now. It's funny how already I can't even imagine not having a baby. I thought it would be a huge adjustment (and of course it is a little.now that she's my new schedule! But it really just feels normal and I feel like I've been a mom for a while!

Actually, it was quite the opposite - we had an amazing summer! And as summer always is in Oregon, it was also too short. In a nutshell, here's how we spent our summer:. We spent many evenings swimming in a friend's lake. We went to Enchanted Forest. Elliot and Rhett braved the Haunted House. We swam (and fell) in(to) rivers. We went to baseball games.

Oh and we actually found that I'm just a little further along (which is always nice! I'm due July 3, only about 6 days off from before. So I don't think they'll change my due date, but I am for sure! She wakes me up every two hours at night and then sleeps all day just to add insult to injury. Times like these make me appreciate sayings like, “mothers work from sun up to sun down” and “motherhood is a thankless job.”. Being a mother can truly be a thankless job. It’s 24/7 and we don’t get government mandated breaks. It is all worth it.

Thursday, April 21, 2011. VCUG's are no fun. So Tanner had his 2 nd. At Primary Children's yesterday. It was much better than last time. I highly recommend sedation if your child ever has to go through with it. Brooklyn also had to have it done once when she was about 2 years old and it was horrible.
