Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Today was full of the best news.first, I was able to get chemo today, then wed and thursday will be my last day of chemotherapy! While I was receiving the chemo my primary doctor/surgeon's nurse called to confirm my appointment at the Cleveland Clinic for Friday and told me that the CT scan (CAT scan) of my abdomen and chest from last week came back CLEAR! Friday, September 25, 2009. I was unable to receive treatment this week due to my low blood count numbers, which is now what I (and the doctor) have come to expect the week after my 3-day chemo. I did receive injections earlier this week that will help my body to produce my white and red cells, but I have to wait for the platelets to replace themselves on their own, which can take a bit longer. . Wednesday, October 7, 2009. October is Finally Here! October is here and although I was. Able to get my last treatments this week as planned, I am staying focused on the finish line! My platelets are still too low to receive chemo.) . I am going to the Cleveland Clinic on Thursday to have a CT (cat) Scan to determine the effectiveness of the radiation and chemotherapy on my body. Tuesday, September 15, 2009. I am currently receiving the first day of my three days of treatments this week! Today my platelets were above 100 and all of my other numbers were in the safe range as well. This is the fifth of six cycles that I will receive as my total treatment.I can hardly believe that I am so close to the finish line now! My follow-up appointment went very well at The Clinic yesterday. My doctor reported that everything looks great and there is NO SIGN of my tumor! Keep up the good work!
