Labeled me sentimental when I mentioned to her how I love it when we all get together and how I like to reminisce about the fun we had when we were kids and how I wish we all lived near each other so we could still get together and blah, blah, blah. Random musings from a confused mind. Wednesday, July 12, 2006. It's official: I need a new car. After reading my last post, it was pretty clear to me that I needed to buy a new car. But, my dad's influence of lifelong cheapness (sorry, Dad) was still giving me little doubts. Thankfully, a phone call from my Dad last night eliminated all room for doubt . She was the first recognized and highly acclaimed African American female science fiction writer. It saddens me greatly to hear of her passing because I remember how much I enjoyed reading her books.
