Monday, 28 October 2013. Week 11 Series 3. Fortunately flight operations have been fairly straightforward recently, though we have had to cancel some flights due to issues with airstrip licensing. Our long-standing problem with the misbehaving turbine engine has been resolved for the time-being by the overhaul company taking it back to the States for further investigation. Fortunately the plane it belongs to is on the ground for a while anyway, having new avionics fitted. Week 11 Series 3. Week 9 Series 3.

Friday, 30 August 2013. Week 3 Season 3. The turbine work had been long and carefully planned, but the replacement engine was unfortunately delayed at the overhaul company so the aircraft had been on the ground for several weeks. The new piston engine arrived last week in the back of a van and the decision was made to install it immediately as there were no suitable gaps in the flying schedule for it to be done later. Friday, 30 November 2012. Thursday was our most interesting day this week. Today we had another medical case needing to join our flight unexpectedly. There's no doubt that such variations do help make otherwise rather routine flights seem that much more worthwhile.
