Musings of an elusive beer geek. About Me and Awards. Sunday, 19 April 2015. Cherry Cola Imperial Milk Stout. An opportunity to brew the former arose when friend, fellow home brewer and jolly nice chap Andrew Hobbs. Came to stay over on the weekend of the Siren Maiden launch party. We'd decided on brewing something together on the Sunday morning and having put this idea to Andrew in advance, we exchanged a few thoughts on it and settled on a recipe. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Musings of an elusive beer geek: Rule Britannia
http://www.graphedbeer.com/2014/04/rule-britannia.html
Musings of an elusive beer geek. About Me and Awards. Sunday, 20 April 2014. Do malts travel better than hops perhaps, meaning that they've as much chance of getting the best out of them that we in Europe do? Maybe we've wasted so much energy trying to perfect a style already perfected on the west coast that we've taken our eye off the good old imperial stout? 20 April 2014 at 18:27. 20 April 2014 at 19:29. 20 April 2014 at 20:50. 20 April 2014 at 21:11. Musings of an elusive beer geek: October 2014
http://www.graphedbeer.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Musings of an elusive beer geek. About Me and Awards. Sunday, 5 October 2014. Wet Hopped Pale Ale. Cascade ready to harvest. Had I known that I'd have access to so many lovely hops, I would've lined a brew up that very evening. I did contemplate heading back over to see if any had grown outside of the church's boundary but as it turns out, a chance to brew with wet hops would present itself on twitter. Beer rater extraordinaire over on his blog. The Baron looking very happy with his bumper crop. I first ...

Musings of an elusive beer geek. About Me and Awards. Thursday, 6 August 2015. The Story of Elusive Brewing. I moved to California in 1998 and I recall discovering Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (WHOA, BITTER! Moving back to the UK, my interest in beer switched to Belgian styles and continued to develop. Discovering the Dovetail in Clerkenwell in the early 2000s really opened my eyes and inspired many trips to Belgium to hunt down the beers I was enjoying at the source. Kenny Hannah ( @ObadiahPoundage. In early ...

Ben Viveur: Who is Ben Viveur?
http://benviveur.blogspot.com/p/who-is-ben-viveur.html
Hi, I’m Benjamin Nunn – critic, gourmand and author of Ben Viveur. I like to eat and drink. And cook. And write. You might have read me in an in-flight magazine, or a beer publication, but here on my own blog I'm liberated from the editorial shackles of others so anything goes. There's plenty of robust opinion, commentary on the world of food and drink, and lots of swearing, so look away now if you're easily offended. Who is Ben Viveur? I am Ben Viveur, obviously. June 22, 2012 at 9:10 PM. The debate ove...
