How you can Help. Taranaki Little Blue Penguins. Little Blue penguins have very distinctive foot prints. Once you have seen them for yourself it is hard to mistake them with every other bird out there. Here are some images - note the straight toes and claw holes. Prints vary depending on the surface. You can help by looking out for penguin prints, taking part in Penguin week beach survey or contacting me with your historic accounts of little blues in Taranaki. Please check out the penguin prints on the foot print page. Look out for these prints when you are out for a walk on the beach especially if it is a low tide in the morning.
