Tara Paper: April
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015/06/april.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Friday, June 05, 2015. Easter was early this year. which means we hardly had time to breathe or eat birthday candy before it was time to hunt for it again. Between conference sessions on Saturday we threw eggs all over the lawn and let the children loose. Well, two of them anyway. Where are those eggs? On Sunday between sessions we dyed some easter eggs. We did things a little differently this year. We did silk dying. The rain continues, but occasionally it let...

Tara Paper: November 2014
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Friday, November 21, 2014. Festival At the Switchyard. So the same day as our Trunk-or-treat, we had the city's annual Festival at the Switchyard. It's a free music festival with big headliners. This year they brought in Gin Blossoms and Blues Traveler. Sadly, we missed them. And even more sadly, Johnny missed the festival entirely. The grumpiness was mostly concentrated here,. And manifested itself in whining, indecision,. And the unwillingness to try anything.

Tara Paper: January 2015
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Thursday, January 01, 2015. Year in Review 2014. This has been a great year for our family. Here are some highlights. We went to visit my sister in Phoenix and to see the Gilbert Temple open house. It was so wonderful to get a break from the roller coaster Dallas weather, do some hiking, not feel sick all the time (2nd trimester and no flu, yay! But mostly explain the temple to my beautiful children and be grateful we are a forever family. I honestly don't reme...

http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015/06/kindergarten-graduation.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Sunday, June 28, 2015. The Captain graduated from Kindergarten! They put on a big program for the parents and then he got to come home early. Here's all 5 classes of Kindergarteners- 3 English, 2 Spanish/bilingual. In case you didn't spot him, he's on the very top left. Here's the end of their "sound off". The Captain getting his diploma. He was the first student to walk off without it. Don't worry he went back. Here's the kids stuck on the spider's web. We pla...

Tara Paper: Summer Reading
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015/06/summer-reading.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Monday, June 29, 2015. Inside the fire truck. Swat Car, a first for me. The Captain the less-enthused. That's The Captain's head poking up in the Patrol SUV. And Joy the Unseen. Proof she actually was in there. We have had no trouble enjoying reading time almost everyday and we will have many treats and prizes by the end of the summer. Posted by Tara Jayne. Monday, June 29, 2015. We really should live closer to each other to enjoy these outings together!

Tara Paper: Perry Homestead
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015/06/perry-homestead.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Thursday, June 11, 2015. If you live in my area and you haven't been to the Perry Homestead, why not? It took me way too long to visit and it is a great site for pictures, as you can see. We went in the hopes of taking some six year pictures of The Captain, and discovered they were having a bluebonnet festival, so we joined in, did some coloring/crafts, ate some cookies, played some bean bag toss,. Found some new friends and played soccer . . . Hmm, a flower.

Tara Paper: Miss Lee has a birthday
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015/06/miss-lee-has-birthday.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Miss Lee has a birthday. And since we were in Ft. Worth, we decided to make the most of it by going to the Botanical Gardens (something I had also done with my grandmother shortly before she died, so it made a nice memorial as well.). We had a surprising amount of fun. Of course, the kids do love anything involving the outdoors. I finally have a new background picture for my phone. In front of the rose gardens. She was not cooperating.

Tara Paper: Joy's First haircut
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015/06/joys-first-haircut.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Saturday, June 27, 2015. I took some pictures of the process. I'm sure you expected nothing less. Here we are getting started. We were worried she wouldn't have enough to donate. Locks of Love needs 10", which she barely had. We ended up sending it to Children with HairLoss, and they only need 8" so we were covered. I would have taken a picture of the cutting, but I had to hold the hair so we could get all 10". Waiting for a blowdry. Posted by Tara Jayne.

Tara Paper: June 2015
http://tarapaper.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
It's like a newspaper . . . only different. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. So taking the kids to swimming lessons has been Johnny's thing. Mostly because when we started doing it last year I had just had a baby and it was a nice break for me. This year, I schemed and planned and had flashbacks to college class scheduling as I stayed up until midnight to register the kids for swim classes with the rec center. Did I need to stay up? Swimming with the noodle. Posted by Tara Jayne. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Monday, J...
