The Randomness of Me: Judging a book by its cover
http://velvetraven.blogspot.com/2010/01/judging-book-by-its-cover.html
Judging a book by its cover. When Times at Parkson shut down, I still kept my membership because I knew I would go to KL often enough to make it worth it. However, I was a wee bit miffed when the birthday card came from them after I got back from KL and it was valid only within the month of my birthday. Anyway, my Wicked collection is now complete and I am happy. Until next pay day when I shall go on another book hunt. I really would rather spend my money on books than other useless things. The Choo-Choo...

Different, arent we all? When I create anything, be it a wallpaper or a drawing, I always make sure there are borders. Everything is in its place and there is a place for everything. I also plan where I place a picture. In other words, I can be very structured when I'm working. Our other sister just does what she wants to do. It seldom makes sense to us and a lot of times, she grabs her best ideas from us anyway. But that is not my point. Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.7. To err is human. For now, rem...

The Randomness of Me: To err is human
http://velvetraven.blogspot.com/2011/02/to-err-is-human.html
To err is human. I have seen many kinds of people. Some I interacted with, even liked, while some I just knew from a distance. I have seen them make mistakes and I have seen some of them learn from their mistakes. The humbler ones even admitted to committing those mistakes and were big enough to apologise for them. The not-so-humble ones either never admitted upon knowing or just went their merry way feeling holier-than-thou. But that is another story for another day. 9:48 pm Category: this and that.

Tears of a child. I think children seldom consider how their actions and words can affect their parents. Unless you have parents like mine who will either smack you for a bad word or action or give you the dressing down of your life. Having said that, I also think the reverse also happens. Parents sometimes don't seem to consider how their actions and words can affect their children. I just despair that many parents don't realise how their selfishness and overprotectiveness and greed could seriously dama...

It doesn't help that I have a baby who doesn't seem to believe in first words. She's tumbling headlong into first sentences and phrases. Her current favourite is 'I go.' Can you tell she loves going out? My reply was simple. "If you don't get her to like reading at an early age, when are you expecting to start? As far as I am concerned, she can be whatever she wants to be, wherever she wants to be. However, right now, people find it hard to believe she's talking, crawling at super speed, walking whil...

The Randomness of Me: To move or not to move
http://velvetraven.blogspot.com/2009/10/to-move-or-not-to-move.html
To move or not to move. I've been considering moving to my LiveJournal. I really do like how the LiveJournal is set up. Okay, I'm being a girl when I say that I really like how I can make my blog look pretty at the drop of a pin (or in this case, with a quick CSS tweak). And I can lock it up when I want to while leaving it wide open if I choose to. But(yes, always a 'but'). To get the full feeling of LJ, I might need to pay for it. Ok, fine! To make it prettier, I'll have to pay for it! The Choo-Choo Tra...

Want To. Blog. So little time, so many thoughts to share. I think I'll share next week. When I have holidays and I cannot eat so I have more, more time to do many, many other things. Like blog. And buy books. And organise my music files. And play The Sims 3! 8:00 pm Category: this and that. My current favourite quote. More than anything else, I believe it's our decisions, not the conditions of our lives, that determine our destiny – Anthony Robbins. When words aren't enough. Want To. Blog.

The Deal He came in, sat down across from me, nodded. - 55 Fiction. And that was all we wrote. 07 July 2008 @ 09:43 pm. He came in, sat down across from me, nodded. It's done. I nodded. It's done? I pushed the envelope across the table. He waved it off. I was puzzled. I thought you said it was done. He nodded, pulled out a gun, aimed it at me. It is She paid more. The door opens. Daddy! He leans down to hug his son. He gives the present. Hiya, champ. I'm gonna get Mommy! He hesitates, takes a step inside.

Ends and Beginnings - 55 Fiction. And that was all we wrote. 28 April 2006 @ 11:16 pm. Because I've seen people say it with an image and I've been wanting to do it too, cept that I haven't been able to match a 55 to any photo of mine until now. It probably makes no sense at all.

Sixteen years ago, we invented an odd little short story genre and called it 55 Fiction. It was simple. You had to write a story. You could only use 55 words. We knew you could do it. We were right. 55 Fiction, New Times Magazine. If you're not familiar with '55 Fiction', I encourage you to visit the place. Where it began, check out the rules. Follow us on Facebook.
