Monday, April 26, 2010. Trimming can be a bit sad. We gave away our remaining seven 3-year old laying hens yesterday so we could get our almost two month old pullets into the hen house. The old wire dog cage that Louis outfitted with the perches was getting too crowded now that the pullets are about five times their two-day old chick size and are fully feathered. Friday, February 18, 2011. What I have learned in my time away from blogland. Near my 61st birthday, I had the privilege of being a retreat speaker at the Burnt Fork Ranch. The topic was Psalm 23 and I was asked to give the Jewish perspective on that Psalm. I may write a bit on that topic in a future blog. We'll see. Since all Mom and Dad's greatgrandchildren were present at the family gathering, numerous photos were taken of the grouping. One of our Beth Tephila outreaches besides the seder is a booth a...
