In search of the perfect dram. Organic cocktail party on a sweaty summer night. Benromach Distillery, Forres (Speyside). Distilled in 2008, bottled in 2014. Matured in virgin oak casks. Benromach did a huge make-over for its core range in April last year. Out are the metal tubes, in are classy tubes with plenty of references to the stills and the lid serves as a bottle plinth and leaflet holder. A playful yet mischievous Speyside dog. In search of the perfect dram. Independent bottler Hunter Laing, reputed for The Old Malt Cask, will launch this month 20cl versions of their Hepburn's Choice range. They hope to make single cask whisky more accessible for everyone. Those who know me, know I have a soft spot for 20cl bottles.
