Thursday, September 12, 2013. Anthropologie Window Display : Summer Garden. Fall is in the air in New England, but today I picked my first tomato from the garden. I realize that sounds strange, but in my tomato's defense, they were planted in the last few days of July. The Anthropologie at Rockefeller Center, on the other hand, had their garden windows in full swing in May {which is when I actually took these photos}. Is everyone else as ready for fall as I am? Unfortunately Louis Vuitton stores are always in indoor malls in Massachusetts so a good photo of their window displays can be a rare thing. I debated for a few months on whether or not to show these images because they are so hard to see, but I decided in the end, it was an interesting concept, so here you are! Links to this post. Monday, January 19, 2015. Recently, while running from one meeting to the next, I darted past this spray painted graphic for the basement. I immediately turned around and came back for a closer look and a photo. While the other floor markers were a bit 80s looking, this one still feels new in some ways. It's also not going to be around much longer because this building is being converted to luxury condos shortly. What do you think about it? Too 80s or has it stood the test of time? Thursday, July 18, 2013. Crewcuts : Jellyfish Window Display. At a certain time of year, and I don't actually know when, Boston Harbor fills up with what look like hundreds of plastic bags. It's thrown me off a few times, because Boston isn't the kind of place you expect to see hundreds of jelly fish floating around, but it's kind of fun to see. Friday, November 29, 2013. Alice In Wonderland Window Display. I took this picture in the Design Center almost a year ago, and because time seems to be flying at top speed in my world these days, I'm just getting around to posting it now. It's a vignette of Alice in Wonderland made of fabrics, wallcoverings and trims. I love it, though it's a bit eerie. I guess the movie is strange enough that it totally makes sense. This Petit Bateau window display is actually from last winter, but it got lost in the shuffle. Monday, January 5, 2015. I've been searching for sneakers I liked for a long time now - a long time as in years. I finally found the solution with some fancy Missoni patterned Chucks! I haven't actually actually worn a pair of Chucks since the '90s when I had a plaid pair during my grunge phase, that was a long time ago. You can see there is actual green grass under the shoes which means I took the picture in the summer but they're still going strong now, they just aren't quite as white. Looking For Some...
