Tatting, Beading and Needlework

Tatting, Beading and Needlework. Friday, November 21, 2014. Unbelievable how time flies! In the meantime we already had two Neurology Resident and Fellows Graduation parties. This year I was very busy tatting six bookmarks for the graduating residents and three coasters for the graduating fellows. This bookmark is from a pattern by Edda Schneider. I found the pattern on Edda Guastalla Bianchetti's website http:/ digilander.libero.it/chiacchierino/news/segnalibroeddaschneider.html. Links to this post.

Tatting, Beading and Needlework: Motif # 6

http://tattingandbeading.blogspot.com/2011/11/motif-6.html

Tatting, Beading and Needlework. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. My Motif # 6 is from Judi Banashek's book "Advanced Tatting Patterns". I used white Lizbeth Size 20 thread. Judi is the founder of our Oklahoma Shuttle Bugs tatting group. She is a wonderful teacher and I learned so much from her. A few years ago she moved to Waxahachie, TX to be close to her daughters. Good news! November 16, 2011 at 5:16 PM. November 16, 2011 at 7:31 PM. November 16, 2011 at 11:38 PM. Such a pretty cross motif!

Tatting, Beading and Needlework. Tuesday, September 6, 2011. I have been very busy finishing up my fair entries. I entered 11 items in the Canadian County Fair, nine of which received 1st place and two received 2nd place. I was very pleased. In just four days I will drop off my fair entries at the Oklahoma State Fair. I am still in the process of finishing two items. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Knotty Things: Motif #3

http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009/05/motif-3.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Saturday, May 16, 2009. I've been busy tatting, but not so much in the taking photos and uploading them department. This is a maple leaf. Done in Lizbeth harvest orange medium. I tatted this sitting in the sunroom watching the birds and got a bit distracted and missed a ring. This explains the slight asymmetry, but I've never seen a perfect leaf so this goof doesn't bother me. Tatting Turns Over a New Leaf. So I'm really looking forward to making more leaves.

Knotty Things: Motif #6

http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009/07/this-is-pattern-that-i-found-online-but.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Wednesday, July 8, 2009. This is a pattern called Tatted Antique Lace Doily by Darlene Polachic. It's made with Lizbeth Carousel thread size 20. I didn't do the last round because it was a chain and ring round and I didn't like the way the chain looked so I decided it was finished as is. If I ever do this doiley over again (and I may, it was a fun and quick doiley to make), I think I'd make the two inner chains white to better show off the rings. Tatting, Bead...

Knotty Things: Motif #8

http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009/10/motif-8.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Friday, October 2, 2009. This is the Bookmark with Overlapping Chains. It was a bit of a challenge to keep it overlapped as I started the second round. I ended up cutting the second round out twice because I kept joining to the wrong ring. Finally I ran a thread through all the rings to keep them where they should be. The basting helped and I was able to finish the 2nd and 3rd rounds fairly quickly. Who knew a quilting technique could help in tatting? Simple t...

Knotty Things: Motif #5

http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009/05/motif-5.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Here is the ever popular dragon by Anne Bruvold. I had just learned split rings when I did this. The body is single shuttle split rings which I still don't know how to do, so I used split rings instead. Thread is size 20. I made one in a white size 20 which I released during a dirty Santa with ghirardelli chocolates for sustenance. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beautiful Quilts Picture of the Day. http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. In Memory of Loni. I hate being right. She died while I was out of state and I came home to a simple message from a classmate asking me to call her. I knew she was gone. When her sister and father came from PA over the weekend to clean her apt, they brought copies of photos of her for us to keep. Friday, October 2, 2009. This is the Bookmark with Overlapping Chains. Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. This oak leaf and acorn came from. Tatting Turns Over a New Leaf. By Karey Solomon. Seed beads were added to give the illusion of dew drops on the leaf. I made an extra long stem and attached an acorn for a bookmark. It is now living with a friend who collects oak leaves and acorns. Knotty Things: Still here

http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009/09/still-here.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Thursday, September 3, 2009. I'm still here. I've done some projects, but either haven't had time to take photos, or clean up and post the photos I have taken. I've enrolled in Sharon's Tatting Design class. I feel terrible because I haven't posted any of the assignments. I knew that my boyfriend was going to be home from deployment the same week the class started but figured I could get caught up after he left. I had a feeling I was missing something. The...

Knotty Things: April 2009

http://knotty-things.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Sunday, April 5, 2009. Motif #1 and #2. Here are pair of doilies that I did a couple of months ago. The first one was the top one with white chain with green rings. As I was working on it, I wondered what it would look like with the colors reversed. The pattern is Blue Doily by Eileen Stafford. The thread is DMC size 12 perle cotton. They came out to be about 4 1/2" wide. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Motif #1 and #2. Beautiful Quilts Picture of the Day.

Tatting projects for the 25 Motif Challenge. Saturday, May 16, 2009. This butterfly came from. Celtic Tatting Knots and Patterns. By Rozella Linden. The thread is size 10. I've done 3 patterns from her book and this one I found to be the easiest. That is a cool butterfly! I have that book, too! I have yet to make that lovely butterfly, though! Love the colors you used, too! May 16, 2009 at 8:58 PM. What a lovely butterfly! Great choice of colors. May 17, 2009 at 9:37 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
