So I threw some towels and the kids' swimsuits in the back of the car and we went to the lake after I picked them up from school. The kids played in the water then moved up to the playground. Sunday, May 4, 2014. My new paddleboard finally arrived on Saturday afternoon! We got it out and inflated it in the afternoon. I wanted to make sure we had everything we needed before we headed out to the lake. We packed up a breakfast picnic and headed to the Y beach around 9:30 the next morning. Sunday, May 18, 2014. As the kids get older, it gets harder and harder to the get cousins together. Everyone is just so busy, am I right? But finally a weekend opened up, airplane tickets were not completely horrendously expensive, and the times were good. I took the boys to Houston. James and Andy had a great time flying for about 20 minutes. Then they buried their heads in their kindles and were absolutely fine the rest of the trip. It was awesome! I even read my book. Saturday, July 25, 2015. My dad made me make rouladen. Step #1. Buy meat. Go to the butcher counter and ask for some sort of round roast slices 1/8-1/4 thick. Sometimes they will know what rouladen is if you to tell them that is what you are making. The butcher who sliced the meat this time apparently got confused so my mom was really nervous how it was going to turn out. Step 2. Peel 2-3 onions and slice into 1/2 inch vertical slices.
