A couple of weeks ago I was told to grab my camera because we were heading out for an unusual afternoon. I’d been told about this place and was really excited to see it. Barely visible from the road this ruin has been left intact since a fire swept through it in March 2009. Luckily the occupant escaped unharmed. I visited the site again today to take even more photographs and although the fire was a tragedy it has made a beautiful setting which I hope will be left untouched. June 7, 2015.

The sun has been shining and the weather has started to warm up so I’ve been spending as much time as I can in the garden. We’ve just bought some new garden furniture and it has been so nice to just chill out in the sunshine. Sitting outside on Friday we noticed a damselfly flitting from plant to plant so I grabbed my camera and took a few photos. Although I have had my macro lens for a while I haven’t really used it but now I think I’m hooked. It is so thrilling to be able to see things in such detail.
