Tawanda har email-kontakt med universitet-studentene, og fikk møte de fleste av dem i løpet av oppholdet. Tawanda betaler skolegang for ca. 700 barn og unge fordelt på Chawanda Primary School, Nyamuti Primary School, Chibara Primary Schoold, Nyachuru Secondary School, og Chimumvuri Secondary School. I tillegg får 5 ungdommer hjelp til høyere utdannelse. For folk i Zimbabwe er situasjonen vanskelig. På grunn av aids-epidemien dør en stor del av foreldregenerasjonen og barn blir foreldreløse.
