Taxi And Private Hire Driver. Welcome to the Elite. Taxi Driver Training have been in the driver training industry for eleven years and prides itself on it's reputation of delivering excellant quality of tuition from learner drivers to taxi drivers and also Trainee Driving Instructors (PDI). Trainers are regularly assessed by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) - The people that sets the standard of driving for all catagories of vehicles. DSA = Driving Standards Agency. ADI = Approved Driving Instructor.

Taxi And Private Hire Driver. Introduction and licence check. 1 Difference between the available passenger carriages licences issued by the local authority. 3 The law and the code of conduct. 5 Vehicle groups and speed limits. 6 Reversing excercises accepted by the examiner. 7 Cabology and highway code. Vehicle safety eyesight check * The vehicle checks are not part of the practical taxi test. The cost of the course is £250 inclusive of VAT (special offer). The taxi assessment test is reflective of modern driving practices, the standard is set at a level suitable for the full driving licence holder, which is therefore higher than the learner driver test.
