Heider Happenings: Five years ago today...
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2010/08/five-years-ago-today.html
Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Five years ago today. For some reason, this birthday of Miller's has really had me reminiscing of the first day I met the little man that changed my life forever. I was woken up by the phone ringing. I answered. And my case worker from LDS. Family Services had news that Amy had gone into labor and that she was in the hospital. Amy and I had spent time together in the last weeks of her pregnancy and she invited us to be at the hospital when Miller was born. I remember on the ride...

Heider Happenings: November 2009
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 22, 2009. I walked into my closet the other day after bringing Miller home from preschool and happened to glance down at this pair of shoes. To my surprise it looked like there was water in my favorite pair of shoes. Upon closer inspection I discovered that it wasn't water. For reasons he still cannot explain, Miller thought that peeing in my shoe was a better option than peeing in my toilet! What was he thinking? Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. Miller had the best time. What a bunch of...

Heider Happenings: Roaring Springs
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2010/09/roaring-springs.html
Friday, September 24, 2010. For Miller's birthday, he wanted to go to Roaring Springs with his cousins. He got this great snorkel mask for his birthday. Too bad they wouldn't let him use it at the park. He had a great time.until he couldn't feel his lips anymore. As we drove toward Boise, we knew the forecast was saying the high for the day to be around 78 degrees. The closer we got, the darker the clouds became. But we still held out hope. Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. Where does the time go? He is v...

Heider Happenings: October 2009
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. We went to Chad and Gina's house for a pumpkin carving FHE. Miller picked the pumpkins from Grandpa Heider's garden. He really liked the green ones. I have to admit that the green pumpkins turned out awfully cute. Miller really enjoyed the carving. He wanted to saw into those pumpkins all night long. Memories like these are my favorite! Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. Saturday, October 17, 2009. Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. Wednesday, October 7, 2009. I gained about 10 po...

Heider Happenings: Happy Birthday, Miller!
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2010/08/happy-birthday-miller.html
Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Happy Birthday, Miller! Miller turned 5 today! I can't believe he is growing up so fast! For a long time he promised me that he would stay little forever, but I don't think that will happen. Miller wanted a Star Wars birthday this year. He loves the Clone Wars cartoon and specifically wanted an R2-D2 cake with several characters on the cake. And since Miller is the resident prince at our house, he got exactly what he asked for. Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. Bret is a busy guy...

Heider Happenings: Gone Fishin'!
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2010/09/gone-fishin.html
Friday, September 24, 2010. We went to Sun Valley with some friends and took Miller fishing. This is his first fish! Notice the pinky sticking out. Very proper! Before this fun moment, Bret spent a good half hour figuring out his new pole. I think our frinds kids had caught about their 20th fish by the time Bret's hook hit the water. This was how much fun he was having. Caught in the bushes. Caught in the bushes.again. Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. September 26, 2010 at 9:11 PM. Where does the time go?

Heider Happenings: Slip 'n' Slide!!!
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2010/09/slip-n-slide.html
Friday, September 24, 2010. Aunt Gina found us the funnest place to have FHE. This family has two giant slip 'n' slides, a zip line, and playground for the kids. It was so much fun. Miller kept his eyes closed the first time he headed down the slide. The adults had as much, if not more, fun than the kids on that slide. We tried to see who could go the furthest down the slide on their feet. This was Justin's attempt. We spent the whole night trying to act as childish as possible. I think we succeeded!

Heider Happenings: December 2009
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 28, 2009. Parties, Parties, and More Parties! December is a marathon month for us. But it is a marathon of party after party. One of the traditions with the Heider. Family is Christmas caroling after Sunday dinner before Christmas. There is a lot. Of complaining from the kids, but I love it, and I know it is my mother-in-law's favorite thing. I hope you continue the tradition, Jan! All of us in our singing glory! He knows Miller so well. Nothing like a weapon to liven things up! We took ...

Heider Happenings: January 2010
http://heiderhappenings.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Pics of the boys. A friend of mine called and asked if she could take pictures of Porter and Miller. She did a great job. Check our her blog on my blog list, Set in Time Photography. This one was for Bret. So cute! Can you tell Miller likes to have his picture taken? I love this one. So sweet. Miller is constantly kissing Porter so we could hardly get him to look at the camera. I had so much fun with this. Thanks, Bethany.I love them! Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter. I was able...
