We've Arrived! - Taylors 2 Italy

Michael and I made it safely across the big pond. Our luggage even came with us from Paris with no problems! I had been warned of mulitple baggage losses when connecting in Paris). It's cold here and Vicenza was covered in a white blanket of snow when we arrived. We've moved into our new apartment. with A/C (not a big deal now but in 6 months it will be greatly appreciated). Back to Italy - Taylors 2 Italy

We FINALLY have completed Visas in hand and will be returning to Italy on Sunday, November 23! Although we will be missing Thanksgiving stateside, we have been invited to an Italian Thanksgiving Party. The host assured us there will be American stuffing. It should be interesting. We won't be able to use our US cell phones so email will be the best way to get in contact with us. We will be home just in time for Christmas and New Years (and Michael's 30th birthday! Hope everyone has a nice Turkey day!

There wasn't much of a language barrier, being a large city, most everyone we interacted with spoke English. I asked "Parlez-vous anglais? Many, many times. One funny language thing did occur. I am so programed to say "si" or "yes" in Italian that I said "si" instead of "oui" over and over again, even commenting aloud "Ah! I'm still speaking Italian!

Our flight wasn't until 8 that evening so we had plenty of time left to explore Keukenhof, the tulip and flower park.
