I first started really to enjoy hiking and backpacking when I lived in Denver after college. Currently, I'm chipping away at the Appalachian Trail one section hike at a time. I've hiked only a fraction of the trail so far. May 18-21, 2004: Dennis Cove to Highway 91. My first AT section hike. June 24-26, 2005: Highway 91 (Shady Grove, TN) to Damascus, VA. After having to leave the trail last year at Highway 91, I wanted to finish my planned trip to Damascus. August 18-19, 2005: Carver's Gap to US-19E.
