To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.1.0 or greater is installed. I have recently been very interested by procedurally generated world, and Roguelike games. The Binding of Isaac. And Risk of Rain. Are excellent example of how roguelike elements can be added in classic type of gameplays. The result is a brand new experience at each playthrough. The whole site is filled with fantastic readings that I really recommend). Built in AS3 using this prototype.
Parallax Side-Scroller

A very old prototype from back in the days when I was trying to understand how to get parallax working. Controls: Left/Right, Up (Jump), Down (Crouch), Double Left/Right (Dash). Press Space to Punch the Evil Stalky Red Cubes. Bonus: if you stay pressed on Space at the right moment during the third punch attack, it will slow down the world and create a bullet time effect. Fancy. Not! Built in AS3 using Box2D.

I loved that game so much when I was little. Can it be done in Flash? Possibly. I also wanted to add an extra possible gameplay with it: A camera change that could potientially change the gameplay to a shoot'em'up side scroller, or top down view. Controls: Up/Down/Left/Right.
