And a strong cup of coffee. An outdoor blog about hunting, fishing and exploring the woods of Maine. Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Just a little touch up. Dad and I built our first tree house seven years ago. It was a little rough but we both fit (barely) and kept fairly dry. I shot my first deer from that stand. Last year, we started hunting in that area again because my husband joined us in the woods. It was sketchy last year! The canvas roof is tied up, but it's a little sketchy. Links to this post.

And a strong cup of coffee. An outdoor blog about hunting, fishing and exploring the woods of Maine. Monday, May 11, 2015. I would love to find the owner of this track! Deer hair in their travel paths. As much of a pain as mud season it, it is a great way to see where the deer are and how big some of them are getting. It is almost like snow because it gives you a great idea of what is traveling through. Good size coyote track. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Maine, United States. Birds on the Big Lake.

And a strong cup of coffee. An outdoor blog about hunting, fishing and exploring the woods of Maine. Friday, March 27, 2015. Turkey, fish and bone. Finally, after the cold winter it is time to be back in the woods. I am eager to shake off the winter and get back into the sunshine, nicer temperatures and even play in the mud a little bit. This year spring means turkey hunting, fishing and looking for some sheds on the hunting property. I will do it this year! I am not even close to being a fisherman yet, ...

And a strong cup of coffee. An outdoor blog about hunting, fishing and exploring the woods of Maine. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Why I love being a hunter. There is nothing better than butchering and eating meat from an animal that you killed. Sitting in the woods for hours with no technology. The sun, the honking geese in the fields, the eff'n squirrels. and no office walls. Watching wildlife in their natural habitat. Spending time with my Dad. Breaking the stereotypes of what a hunter looks like. A few...

And a strong cup of coffee. An outdoor blog about hunting, fishing and exploring the woods of Maine. Friday, May 29, 2015. The family and I spent a day one weekend with Robin. And among the outdoor activities we did, we got to go fishing! Given my track record here,. I didn't have much hope of catching anything but any excuse to be on a boat is good enough for me. O and I casting and reeling. O wanted to jump into the 50 degree water and was mad that I wouldnt let him. We pulled in the trolling lines and...
