http://beertrout.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 28, 2012. Moving to Wordpress (beertrout.com). I'll be blogging over at www.beertrout.com. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Gearing up for a trip. Breakfast of an angler. The sluggish mind keep us from making a hasty decision as to the starting spot for the days fishing. We finally decided to head to find a spot where we had launched the boats a few summer back. I don't think we found the exact spot, but we found a good spot and got our feet wet. Nymphing in the sun. BC with a nice lunch.

Friday, February 25, 2011. Bad Fishing and Galactic. I love snow but hate when it melts. When the cold weather breaks and that snow begins to rapidly melt I think about leaky roofs and cold high streams. I do not like to patch drywall on ceilings from water damage. I do not like when trout get lethargic due to snow melt water leeching into streams. But I fish whenever I can and get lucky at work. Friday, February 18, 2011. Spring Creek, Centre County, 2/13/11. Thursday, February 17, 2011. Beer is a great...

Monday, April 25, 2011. 1st Camping Trip for 2011. Monday, April 18, 2011. 2011 PA Trout Opener. Friday, April 15, 2011. If I had a boat. There was an add on paflyfish. For an eight foot Bucks Bag pontoon boat. The photos intrigued me enough to e-mail the seller with the few questions I had. There was an obvious patch on the back of the right pontoon and it looked low on air. Also I wanted to see how much money the seller would take for the boat. These are the photos that were attached to the add:. Frida...

Thursday, May 26, 2011. Neshannock Creek Brown Drakes. Before we knew it the drakes started to appear around the tops of the trees. The waiting game began with growing anticipation as we studied the water for rises. The drakes grew more and more abundant as the day grew nearer to darkness. With no bugs on the water there was no fish looking up. But there sure were a lot of bugs moving upstream. Good to see big mayflies on my hand. Monday, May 16, 2011. The J is heating up. Saturday, January 29, 2011. The snowy conditions of Western PA has brought me towards thoughts of spring. Warmer days sound nice. The Brachycentrus. Hatch can come in large numbers in the early spring and is a great opportunity for anglers to catch trout on dry flies. The Brachycentrus. Grannom Caddis, has been on my mind the last few days. These bugs look cool:. Http:/ www.troutnut.com/hatch. I'm not sure where I will be fishing the hatch this year. But think that the Little Juniata, Penn's, Oil, Ne...

beer trout: July 2011

Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Browns, Berries, and Beatles. Geo and I headed up to Howard, PA Saturday evening to camp and get into position for Sundays fishing. Landed the historic T-10 site at Bald Eagle State Park. Enjoyed a nice fire and a few chilled beers. The Bells Oarsmen and Dales Pale Ales gave us the confidence that would be needed for the next day of fishing. Geo had a personal grudge with these finicky trout that he was sure to fulfill. Trico's should be in swing for the next trip in two weeks.
