My visit was incredible, and, as always, too short. I was glad to join Mom there, so the timing was well worth it! FYI - the large bird at the end is a mystery. Our winter fun started right after Christmas when we went up to the cabin for the day. We couldn't believe all the snow they had. It must have been almost two feet deep! Definitely check that place out if you want to take your kids skiing. It's inexpensive and perfect for beginner skiers. I have just been lazy!

The Last of the Michiganders. Thursday, January 15, 2009. Thanks to the world wide web, I have reconnected with an old friend. Come to find out she lives just up the road, so to speak, within 15 miles anyway. We met for a 2 1/2 hour cup of coffee the week after Christmas. You'd never know that it's been more than 20 years since we actually had a conversation. Patti says hi to all the Cronley's and had some good memories to share that I'd forgotten. Work is good, busy! We are all kind of going insane, especially our poor dog, who hasn't had a consistent walk schedule in months! She is such a creature of habit that she goes nuts when she gets off schedule! At least we have a new house to look forward to moving into in May. Yes, we are buying our first little house! Our Vacation began with a stop at the cabin. We checked out Uncle Jimmy's mule deer mount. WOW it was really big! Plus a little fun with some cousins and really big frogs. Yes the toilet seat light up! The kids wanted me to take a picture. Ken, Nathan and Katie went up further to see if they could see Lake Michigan.
