ESL/EFL Lesson Strategy: Jazz Chants (with an Example). One of the toughest aspects of English is speech. Yet it is also one of the toughest to teach. Of course, many variables go into speaking. This strategy is strictly for teaching speech rhythm to help those students who speak in a monotone voice or for those who speak too slowly, like a robot. Not exactly.
