Adventures in Homeschooling a Gifted Child. This entry was posted on December 24, 2013, in Uncategorized. As is tradition today’s advent activity was opening a gift. Brady insisted Daddy open his, too (luckily they matched😉. Then we had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner (at lunch time since Paul worked this evening). And set about preparing tomorrow’s simple menu. Fritatta and snickerdoodle muffins for breakfast. Veggie soup for lunch and The Pioneer Woman’s tomato-cream pasta. Enter your comment here.

Adventures in Homeschooling a Gifted Child. This entry was posted on January 1, 2014, in Uncategorized. Happy new year, guys! We had a lovely evening with Gramma and Papa last night and a playdate with some of B’s friends today and it was a really nice way to start our year off. I always make a few resolutions/goals and I thought I’d take a second to look back at 2013’s and set some for this year. So last year my main goals were:. To read more, with a goal of 20 books for the year. I managed 22. And choo...

Adventures in Homeschooling a Gifted Child. I’m trying to average 1 new recipe per week in 2013 and keeping track of them here. 1) KFC coleslaw clone. 2) More technique than recipe, but I tried out this idea for transferring buttercream designs. 3) This carrot cake recipe. Was ok fresh out of the oven and better the next day. Made vegetarian with some suggestions from a friend (modified recipe here. I made the chocolate variety). 6) Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Frosting. 7) Mexican sweet potato skins.

Adventures in Homeschooling a Gifted Child. What school looks like for us now. This entry was posted on March 13, 2014, in DITL. So I had gotten into the habit of writing here again in December and then we spent January mostly testing through units of K12 stuff so we could get him moved up to a more appropriate level and that wasn’t really worth writing about and by the time February rolled around it was like “Blog? 8221; or “when did Mister Rogers die? Handwriting Without Tears (Nn). Spelling practice W...
