Sunday, February 13, 2011. Present struggles, future solutions. The budget was cut for the rest of the year! This put a huge pain in my heart, and I was/am determined to do something about it! As soon as I got home I sent an email to my pastor, Pastor Mark Murphy, begging for funds, begging for offerings to be taken up. His heart was touched and he did just that. He pledged two thousand dollars for the school! Literally, I jumped with joy! All my prayers were answered, these kids would eat for months!

Saturday, March 26, 2011. Progress can be measured in very different ways, possibly by coming closer to our main goal of raising thirty thousand dollars for the Shalom school, but not this time. Progress was made on a different front on my North Carolina portion of the trip. Next year Heal the World clubs will be set up at UNC Chapel Hill and Greensboro! My next stop will be the University of South Carolina, hopefully I can find some dedicated students to pick up our cause and start a club of their own!
