One of the teachers at our school recently shared a website where you can take a quiz to determine how many Earths it would take to sustain us if everyone lives the way you do. As a fairly environmentally friendly person, I assumed my footprint would be large but not really detrimental to our planet. Boy, was I mistaken! One group created a solar powered drawbridge, so that we could save the energy required to power drawbridges. This combined their knowledge from Engineering Bridges and Alternative Energy as well as encouraging creative problem solving skills. Their bridge prototype works beautifully! And working –.
