What a wonderful woman and friend. A true life partner. The healing process has begun. Thanks to everyone that had followed my blog. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. We recently took our 7th grad...

Senegal: 7th Grade Field Trip to Sine Saloum 2010

http://teachingindakar.blogspot.com/2010/04/7th-grade-field-trip-to-sine-saloum.html

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. 7th Grade Field Trip to Sine Saloum 2010. We recently took our 7th graders on the annual trip to Sine Saloum. We had a great time bird watching, swimming, fishing, and performing skits. I was really nice for me to be outside of the classroom with my students. I am seriously considering becoming an outdoor school teacher. I just find that there is a real connection you make with people when you are outdoors and in nature. Friday, February 20, 2009. The West African Invitational Softball Tournament was AWESOME! I was too busy playing, socializing, and drinking beer to take photos. The ones featured are from Tod Spedding. Thanks Tod! Saturday, February 14, 2009. This weekend is known as WAIST, a three day softball tournament and longest running sport conference in West Africa. Today was a blast and we didn't lose any games. I will update the blog soon. For now, check out the Vietnamese joint we enjoy. This week Gabbie and I...

http://teachingindakar.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 29, 2009. Thia decided to throw me a late birthday party and Gabs agreed to help. It was great, thanks you two. Many of my friends from ISD showed up and it was a good party. I even bought a mini Heineken keg and a bottle of scotch. Thia and Cory brought ice cream cake, yummy! Stacey baked cupcakes, and I received some special gifts from the Ducharmes, Kritzingers, and Rutherfords. It took all of Saturday to recover. Thanks to everyone for coming, bringing treats, and having fun! Swam in th...

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Last weekend Gabbie and I took Jay and Amy Yeager to Accro Baobab which is a zip-line/adventure park. We had a great time! After climbing and zipping around we went across the street to Bandia and had lunch. During lunch we got to see monkeys, alligators, and water buffaloes. We had fun and now I am trying to plan a 7th grade trip for June. 7th Grade Field Trip to Sine Saloum 2010. Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Last Days of Spring Break Vacation. Saturday, April 3, 2010. So here it is, "The Dash of Thursday, 21st of March 2013.". Dags att gå upp. Istället för kaffe på det icke-existe...

Teaching In China - What you should know! Welcome

Welcome to Teaching in China.net. My son, Darren Russell, left to teach in China on December lst, 2004. He loved the country and its people and wanted to make a difference in this world. Darren and I developed many friendships in China. Out of dedication to his students he endured an "English Sweatshop" situation. The entire contract he was promised on the internet, turned out to be a complete fraud. TeachingInChina.net strictly maintains your privacy.

Asian Invasion

Saturday, June 20, 2009. Last night I attempted to stay up until 6am to keep Jono Berry company, as it was his last night in China and he would be leaving for the airport at…you guessed it…6am. We ate dinner at Dong Bei Ren (they hadn’t run out of the mushroom dish! No, you’re kidding right? Check it out (also search it on youtube.com. 8230;I can’t add a link cuz China has deemed youtube.com. Worthy of censorship…even proxies won’t work with it):. Friday, June 12, 2009. Teaching In Chongqing

Encounters, Lessons, Insights, and Comments. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. How many does it take to? How many men does it take to install awnings around. I'll let this photo essay help you solve the riddle. The reason why I woke up to the sound of screeching metal by my wall. By the way, this worker originally tied his harness to my bathroom sink. Keep in mind, my apartment is on the 5th floor. Ready for the answer? And there you have it, folks. There's never a dull day in China. :). Thursday, March 7, 2013.

Teach For America–Personal Statement. You win some, you lose some. On December 5, 2012. Her picture was disturbing evidence of her thoughts. It was black and red with all sorts of jagged lines and words like “invisible” and “confused.” I showed it to the social worker and while he can only take about 10 students on his case load he chose to take her. I wish I could say her situation improved,. My principal believes she is prostituting herself for survival. She is only about 12 years old. I have always be...

Teachiing Indigos Home page

It is now 2015, and in the thirteen years that this web site has been on the Internet, there has been a bloom of information regarding Indigo children. I have personally noticed the changes and been a part of the transformations. We are all making transformations in our lives, with or without Indigo energy. My intial question still stands, Ever notice how different the children of today, are different from when you were a child? These children just seem to know it all, are self assured, fearless to the p...

Teaching Industries Inc.

Wednesday, 17 December 2008. Every philosophy is an ideological work based on beliefs and facts. I don't have a designed and coherent philosophy of teaching. But I do have some, say, facile beliefs and feelings. Some of them are quite common among people; some of them aren't. 1 Schooling as a formal institution is an antinatural demand. 2 Schooling, as it is known in today's societies, is both a product and a result of capitalism. 8 Contents have to match the students' stage of development. 11 Good teach...
