I recently subscribed to a professional journal called Teaching Children Mathematics (TCM) , one of several journals produced by the National Council For Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). I have an electronic subscription, which enables me to read the journal online, which provides the convenience of access from anywhere at any time. I urge you to take a look at these resources, which are on the ground floor, at the very end of the room, overlooking the quad (Level 1 Per L).

There are a good number of songs which involve counting, which have been used by a several generations to help develop counting skills. These are still useful today, particularly for Key Stage 1. Some of these songs have a historical significance, alluding to political, religious and social events of the time. Of particular interest is the traditional 12 Days of Christmas.
