Teaching Sean: making it through the storm

http://www.teachingsean.blogspot.com/2010/03/making-it-through-storm.html

Monday, March 8, 2010. Making it through the storm. As I sat in my office the last 2 hours of the day, it was unavoidable to hear the wind picking up the pace outside. Each time the automatic door opened bigger and bigger gusts of wind were able to force there way into the building. Whether it was predicted or not, we had a cold front and a rain storm on its way. Because that trial - that storm - wasn't nearly enough to knock me off course. This comment has been removed by the author. Those who teach me.

Teaching Sean: Possible Date Activities

http://www.teachingsean.blogspot.com/2009/12/possible-date-activities.html

Monday, December 14, 2009. Now that I am dating steady with Amy, people randomly come up to me and offer date ideas. I'm starting to forget them so I thought I would just keep a running list on my blog. If you have suggestions for dates that are either inexpensive or unique to the San Fransico Bay Area Experience, please feel free to add them. Sandhil Crane Wetland Tour. Walking on that path Matt told us about in Napa. Robert Luis Stevenson Museum. Tour the Caldacott Tunnel. Put a car at either end).

Teaching Sean: When Social Networking becomes Social Narcissim

http://www.teachingsean.blogspot.com/2010/03/when-social-networking-becomes-social.html

Wednesday, March 17, 2010. When Social Networking becomes Social Narcissim. On Sunday I made a deal with a friend: We are both giving up Facebook for the week. So, since Sunday I have not seen the familiar blue background and nor have I been reading up and keeping up on the lives of about 300 friends. I have been coming home, checking my e-mail and watching tv or doing homework. This comment has been removed by the author. March 17, 2010 at 6:14 PM. It just goes to show we are too comfortable doing all t...

Teaching Sean: Service is rarely fit to your schedule

http://www.teachingsean.blogspot.com/2010/03/service-is-rarely-fit-to-your-schedule.html

Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Service is rarely fit to your schedule. It's 12:01 in the morning and I am no where near the bed that was beckoning me just 60 minutes prior. I am instead sitting in an ER waiting room, laptop open and fingers typing. Service never seems to come calling at 10 in the morning after a good night's rest. In a few minutes I will post this and start reading a new book I got in the mail today. Just in the nick of time, a book a friend recommended arrived today in the mail. A serv...

Deer come down into our backyard all the time in the apartment complex where we live. Its great because you get a nice view of the country!

Saturday, June 29, 2013. Gluten free hello dolly's! It seemed the easiest and I knew I could find almond flour in the bulk section of Winco (I happened to see it there on my last visit). To Whom It May Concern: Another church talk

http://katiesblogaboutnothing.blogspot.com/2013/11/another-church-talk.html

Sunday, November 24, 2013. My topic was supposed to be gratitude and abundance. I mostly just talked about myself. My name is Katie (insert last name here). I’ve been in the ward now for about 2 months, so if you still don’t know me, here I am for about the next 10 minutes. I got home and felt so uneasy I couldn’t sit down. I paced back and forth trying to figure out my feelings. I took the week before my last week of work off and came by myself to Salt Lake City to find somewhere to live in person rathe...

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Earlier this month I completed a marathon. I never thought I’d be able to run a marathon, but if you asked me which was more likely: completing a marathon or doing one pull up, I’d tell you the marathon would be easier to accomplish although both would be un-realistic goals for me. One pull-up by July 29. I hope I can do it. Labels: a post about nothing. Thursday, May 9, 2013. 8221; I just had to finish. Monday, February 18, 2013. Every other week I surprise myself with each new distance I go. I’m learning that we’re stronger than we know…it just takes a little (or rather a lot) of effort. I’m feeling pretty good right about now. Come May 4. I’m going to be so ready. Today was 18 miles. I no longer feel bad that it takes me nearly 13 minutes a mile on my long runs. They’re HARD miles!
