Adventures in Spain: Pastry Adventures

http://teachingspain.blogspot.com/2011/11/pastry-adventures.html

Reflections on teaching English in Cantabria. Sunday, November 6, 2011. Friday, October 28. After having this much fun today, and being invited to a drink and then lunch at Maria's house on a whim, I have discovered that I am finding the freedom in going with the flow. I have concluded that the real plan begins through letting go of plans and expectations. November 7, 2011 at 7:56 AM. MY favorite blog section to date. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Adventures in Spain: Food, Delicious Food....

http://teachingspain.blogspot.com/2011/11/food-adventures.html

Reflections on teaching English in Cantabria. Sunday, November 6, 2011. Food, Delicious Food. I adore food. Here are the foods I've tried so far:. 1 Cocido – stew made with beans and various types of sausage, including some kind of weird black sausage (yes, I ate it, and it was delicious, with the exception of the black sausage). 2 Quesada - a specialty dish of Cantabria (the region I'm living in) and is somewhat reminiscent of cheesecake, which I love. I've been meaning to make this at home. 9 Polvoron ...

Why they hate us | How to Peel an Orange

https://lasevillana.wordpress.com/2011/09/22/why-they-hate-us

How to Peel an Orange. Life as a teaching assistant in Seville, Spain. Why they hate us. Yet after nine months in Seville, Spain, somehow involuntarily listening to ninety percent American pop music, and being nearly begged countless times by Spanish friends to eat at McDonald’s or Burger King, I began to wonder.Who are we really? Besides those fat people driving enormous SUVs? This entry was posted on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011 at 6:29 pm and is filed under Uncategorized. From your own site. I can t...

Vol#93: Grade Scale Changes. July 20, 2015. NC has decided to roll out the ten-point grading scale one grade level at a time in high schools. As I understand it, the new grade scale will start with this year’s freshman and move up with that class over the next four years. There was an unsuccessful petition. 30 years. (That seems impossible, but I did the math twice.). In order to help fellow-teachers set up their classrooms this year, I am throwing a “ GRADE SCALE SALE”. In my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.
