Just another WordPress.com site. About Ms. Maddy. Assignment: What is my support system? How does my scaffolding work? October 22, 2012. 2 responses to “Notre Dame Cathedral”. October 30th, 2012 at 14:22. I absolutely love your cathedral metaphor! I thought of a documentary that I once saw about the engineering knowledge and skills that are/were necessary to build arches and to support those old cathedrals. The architects and builders of the day were so capable and smart! November 6th, 2012 at 15:02.

Just another WordPress.com site. About Ms. Maddy. Archive for May, 2012. May 10, 2012. I created my second unit on reading. It was fun to try and implement different stories and activities than those found in the Open Court Reading System textbooks that the school follows. Going off of their guidelines I was able to find fun ways for my students to further connect to the text and get more benefits out of each lesson in the unit. May 10, 2012. I finally finished my first unit! May 10, 2012. May 10, 2012.

The Cooperative Learning Model. April 25, 2012 at 6:13 pm ( Uncategorized. I found this model being very helpfull for the lesson in ceramics class, where I ask students to pair up and make molds of each other’s faces in order to create a ceramic mask that can be decorated in many ways. I think students would enjoy this activity very much, maybe not the girls who decided to wear a lot of make up that day.=/. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. I will keep you updated after I take them both on how they were. March 6, 2012. Crazy how time flies! Well I hope everyone is enjoying their time in their placements! February 27, 2012. Teaching with Media | Using popular media and popular culture in today's history classroom
Review] Learn Geography (NDS). Media: Video Game (Nintendo DS). Full disclosure: I hate maps and geography. Yes, I teach history. No, that doesn’t mean I have to like maps. I find them boring and almost entirely without educational value. I don’t care. Something is I only care. Something is. Still, I loved the old Carmen San Diego games and I was hopeful this game would make geography and maps fun. It doesn’t. Ah, but wait you say, what about mini-games? Every DS game has mini-games right? About those co...
