July 9, 2015. Spin and Compare Freebie. Here's is a great math center for FREE. Got the idea from this Lakeshore center. And here is my gift. To you this Thursday morning. Links to this post. March 16, 2015. Benchmark Literacy Word Work Freebie. Started a new reading program this year. Hopefully will be able to roll out and share new ideas as I test them out in "the lab". The next three weeks are vital. We had a slew of Snow Days and I'm just trying to get as much good learning in as possible. What if th...

Monday, August 17, 2015. Friday, August 14, 2015. I had a baby, my second. This just was a total game changer. I though, "Oh, no big deal. As it is, currently it’s mid-June and I’m writing this time from my grandmother’s kitchen table in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. I have completed one year at the American International school of Accra, Ghana, and I’m officially on summer holiday. It is good to be home. I distinctly remember writing the last edition of the newsletter. All of that will still e...

Monday, November 19, 2012. It's been way too long since I've created a special lunch for Trip, so I decided to surprise him with a turkey. It turned out kind of funny looking, but he was thrilled so it was a win. I stuck carrots, olives, cucumber chunks, and hot dog slices on toothpicks, then stuck them into an apple. I also added some chocolate eyes and a gummy worm beak and wattle. The best part (as with most special lunches), is that he at just about every bite. Friday, November 16, 2012. Once his tur...
