Teaching Portfolio: Teaching Philosophy

http://www.teachportbrown.blogspot.com/2011/03/teaching-philosophy.html

Friday, March 18, 2011. Fishing with my cousin. When thinking of my own teaching philosophy I am often reminded. It can be tricky to facilitate learning so that we are focused more on the lifetime and less on the day. However I have found that if lessons are created within the environment of inquiry while keeping in mind Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences students will be inspired to want. In my own learning experience I always do better on the projects and assignments for which I have more choic...

Teaching Portfolio: Chapters

http://www.teachportbrown.blogspot.com/2011/03/chapters.html

Friday, March 18, 2011. Another experience I had through Chapters was celebrating the release of various books with kids and encouraging them to read through various theme days like Talk Like a Pirate Day. I will always remember my time working at Chapters fondly. During the release of the final Harry Potter book I spent 8 hours dressed as Moaning Myrtle running around the store crying to kids dressed up as Harry. I was interviewed for the paper and had a blast. The mermaid sings the Pirate Gospel.

Friday, March 18, 2011. I am a big believer that our hobbies and interests can be incorporated into our teaching styles and help us be better teachers. I'd like to share with you some of my hobbies and how I feel they influence my teaching and teaching philosophy. A few other images with captions. Teacher Tails: Teaching Volume “The Crown of Syracuse”

http://teachertail.blogspot.com/2012/03/teaching-volume-crown-of-syracuse.html
