July 25, 2013. 2013 Jukro Hwagae Valley Jungjak. In a recent episode of Tea Goober we talked about Jukro,s 2013 Sejak. Now it,s time to try Jukro,s 2013 Jungjak. Sejak grade tea is usually made from the second flush, while Jungjak is made from the third flush. The first flush is called Ujeon, but who can afford that? In my opinion, Korean black tea's have absolutely nothing common with western style black tea's. No astringency or bitterness to be found here. April 24, 2010. 2009 Anxi High Fired TiKwan Yin. Ive started using Petr's Shiboridashi's for brewing everything lately, why not? They brew all teas equally well, easy to use and clean up is a breeze. In my everyday tea brewing I don't often use those tiny little cups, don't want to be bothered with the constant re-filling. Thursday, August 28, 2008. Bai Cha Tang 3rd Generation Iron Cake. The first smell of the beeng, and smell from my sniffer cup both heightened my anticipation for the brew to come. I was, genuinely amazed. The taste was, so smooth, rich and dense without astringency or bitterness. The aftertaste was quite happy, penetrating every available surface in my mouth and nose. The liquor consistently brews up a golden color, which can be obtained at least a dozen times when brewed gong fu stlye.

Monday, March 9, 2009. When the Time is Right, is it Time? Let you and your body decide. I also tested my kombucha with some pH paper. I have congo red pH paper which I found on eBay. It reads from 3-5 which is what the range of Kombucha tea should be around. The pH indicated it was around 4, as the paper was partially activated. Sunday, March 8, 2009. Last Autumn, I went for a hike in a small park near my place. I took some pictures, enjoyed the afternoon exploring. I remember why I set out that afternoon. I thought it was going to be the last decent day of Fall, and so I meant to soak up the elements. It wasn't the last nice day, but it was one of the last few. With Winter waning and rainy, dreary days to come, I look back until Spring wakes up. Autumn always makes me think of the smell of dead leaves baking in the sun.
