Thursday, August 27, 2015. It's no secret this last year has been extremely difficult. I've been open about the hurt, frustration, and pain that comes with fostering. It's also been such a sweet time of growth for our family, together and individually. One area I've been forced to grow in: control. When I first heard of the appeal I was disappointed. Sunday, September 7, 2014. The boys have scheduled visits with their birth mother. Two hour visit, every other week. So far, this is the hardest aspect of fostering, for me. I can't speak for Jake or the boys, but for me, this is tough. I am with them day in and day out. I love these boys very much. It's been a gradual love, and it grows every day. Here's the truth, when we brought Carson home, he was our son, we loved him immediatly. Read about it here. So, that's where I am. I want to be their real.

Monday, October 27, 2014. We drove to Austin Saturday morning with the Haley's. Carson stayed with my parents, thank you Teeny and Bebol! Dan, Bridgette, and Eva graciously stayed at our house with the boys, THANK YOU! I was happy to head down there knowing all our kiddos were in the best hands! It was really strange leaving the boys.
