Lavender Cottage: Mosaic Monday #49 - Pretty in Pink
http://www.lavendercottagegardening.com/2015/07/mosaic-monday-49-pretty-in-pink.html
Monday, July 6, 2015. Mosaic Monday #49 - Pretty in Pink. Two years ago I discovered pink Queen Anne's lace growing on a couple of plants in a field and so I marked them with ribbon to collect the seeds. Last year when the flowers bloomed they were all white but I've just discovered this flower in bud in my butterfly garden and think I may have the treasured pink I was after. For those who have never seen the pink version, isn't it pretty! Welcome to Mosaic Monday. Judith @ Lavender Cottage. I decided, b...

Organic Garden Dreams: April 2015
http://www.organicgardendreams.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 26, 2015. Overall March was a difficult month for the roses. We had already heatwaves that early in the year, which led to many roses not developing their gorgeous big spring flower shapes that I am used to see in previous years. Also many rose varieties couldn't deal with these high temperatures and their petals started to crisp. The same spray a little bit more open. Love it! The fragrance is heavenly, too. The blooms of 'Grandmother's Hat' vary greatly in color. In cool weather they ...

Organic Garden Dreams: September 2014
http://www.organicgardendreams.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 22, 2014. Again, I am coming in late with my post about the roses that bloomed in the previous month, but I am glad that I am at least able to publish it today. On average August is the hottest month of the year in San Diego and this year has been no exception. As in July the roses struggled with the heat in my garden and most bushes didn't look that pretty, but some still managed to produce roses of great quality here and there. Pink Pet' doesn't seem to mind and blooms in nice clusters.

Sunday, May 31, 2015. End of Month View - The White Garden Bed. This month I didn't do many new plantings in the White Garden Bed, since I was very busy working in other parts of the garden. In general at this time of the year maintenance already occupies the biggest chunk of my garden time (gosh, how I wish I had more of that! So planting new plants takes a back seat. Here is a closer look at the middle section of the bed. I am really in love with these glass balls. They have an interesting finish w...

Lavender Cottage: Kentucky Pie and Lavender
http://www.lavendercottagegardening.com/2014/04/kentucky-pie-and-lavender.html
Monday, April 7, 2014. Kentucky Pie and Lavender. Welcome friends for tea this week. When I was in Florida during February, I found a flea market vendor that carried lots of table runners. I was excited to find one with lavender and purchased a large round doily to match. Monk's Blend, a long time favourite will pair nicely with the pie I made. I have a number of metal tins I store my tea in and a labeller to attach their name. (yup, fan of Martha Stewart) How do you store your tea? Thank you for joining...

Organic Garden Dreams: March 2015
http://www.organicgardendreams.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. End of Month View - The White Garden Bed. And finally the spring blooms of the plants, mainly the roses, have brought some much needed white color into the White Garden Bed! There is quite a bit of change to observe between the March and the February photos and I am so happy about that. For now the plant responded to the transplant from the container into the ground well and I enjoy it as long as I can. Here is the trio of the newbies to the White Garden Bed: The white statue and...

Monday, July 20, 2015. An Evening Neighborhood Stroll in Austin, Texas. Sometimes live has its own ways and this weekend it was taking me to a trip to Austin, Texas on short notice. Honestly, I love it when this happens, especially when I get to see a place, that I have never been to before. I had the camera with me and would like to share with you some shots I took. I love how this front yard did go so well together with the house. Austin is proud to be weird. I love how this shot turned out. I had ...

Saturday, August 1, 2015. Skyler, the Doberman is Learning Agility. And the handler, which is me, as well! We had a fun dog training class with our rescue Doberman today in the morning. It was the first time that Skylar and I were trying us at agility jumps. Looks like I need more training than he does! Hope you enjoy the video done by my husband! Wishing everyone a nice rest of the weekend. Alexandra Gant resultswithbehave.com. August 2, 2015 at 1:43 AM. August 2, 2015 at 2:33 AM. It was fun to see Skyl...

Sunday, July 20, 2014. Thinking About Getting a Dog. Last weekend my husband and I went to a dog show in Valley Center, CA, to take a closer look at some dog breeds we are interested in and that way get a better feeling for the dogs. We also wanted to meet some owners to talk to about their pooches and get to know some reputable breeders. A beautifully marked Brittany waiting on the grooming table. What a beautiful gait! He was not only beautiful, but very friendly as well! Just such a lovely boy! These ...
