Saturday, November 1, 2008. In which I return from a long blog absence to document my adventures knitting a sweater in one month. Knitting has been continuing but life has been busy and many of my projects need to remain secret for a while longer so I've not been posting here. Today I've embarked on a new challenge and want the public accountablity factor to influence my progress so I'm committing to posting daily or until my project is complete. In Berroco Cuzco yarn which I purchased on my trip to Webs.

Friday, November 7, 2008. NaKniSweMo - Day 7. Posting every day is more than I am able to accomplish but I have knit every day of November. So one campaign promise has already been broken. I had hoped for a photograph of each day's progress as well but work days don't allow the necessary time or light. Monday, February 19, 2007. Knitpicks Memories in Yukon, knit on 80 stitches with size 0 Knitpicks circular. Stockinette with short-row toes and heels. Nice and simple! And this time, since I finished my Sock-a-Month pair, there's no time pressure and I might even cast on for more than one pair at a time! Sweetie's socks are very handsome. There is a TON of ribbing at the top, because I consistently underestimate how far my yarn is going to go, and switched to ribbing way too early. The colors aren't my favorite ever (I think it's the greeny-yellow flecked stripes - I really really wish they were just green) but they fit so well that I just don't care. The Fleece Artist non-pooling stockinette sock is moving along slowly, and I'm not sure I've picked up the Geranium socks at all since my last post. I'm just not motivated to knit red - I'm sure as soon as Project Spectrum switches to orange/purple/brown I'll be nuts about red.
