The good news remains that the cancer in my body is unchanged, and despite a few new tumors in my brain, the doctors are pleased with the response to the whole brain radiation I received in January. Also (a relief to me), the doctors at UNC confirmed that the radiation to the brain had not impaired my ability to think or remember. For a thorough summary of the medical facts surrounding lung cancer, the MD Anderson. And Mayo Clinic website. Are good sources. It's important to remember that the statistics are 5-10 years old, and that a decade is an eternity in medical research time. So, while the statistics are worrisome, we also know that they present a somewhat outdated picture. And we speak hope.

Sunday, May 3, 2015. A recap of April. Spring is here and we're growing so much! I have so many "reading machines" in my classroom now! Here is a recap of what happened with a Team Dees during April. They love going to music and getting to perform! They had a blast at The Wonder Place! We planted seeds and having been growing caterpillars. Always a fun time!
