We are on a mission for education! Thursday, January 26, 2012. Now that we have internet at our new place I promised myself that I had to post some pictures on the blog. We are on a mission for education! Wednesday, May 30, 2012. The Hazrat Sultan Bayazid Bastami shrine. You can feed the turtles bananas by hand. We did not for fear of falling in! The crowd of people coming to see the turtles. A picture by the turtle pond. We were allowed to go up the stairs to the temple but we had to take our shoes off first. This is the women's side. This is a tree with ribbons wrapped around it. There are many poor people who come to the temple. Nearby is a very poor community. Our Tr...

We are on a mission for education! Sunday, June 10, 2012. Sites of the City. I intended to post this a long time ago but life got busy. We are currently preparing for our return trip to the United States. We leave this Friday to go to the capital city and then leave on Sunday (Father's Day! For the US. This will most likely be my last post before we return home but I do intend to continue posting after our return. There is still so much I have to write! We are on a mission for education! Saturday, March 31, 2012. As you know, the boys basketball season has been over for several weeks now. Since the season was so short the boys did not have much of an opportunity to learn from their mistakes. They ended the season on a winning streak so I can imagine how well they would've done if their season was a bit longer! Once again, another outdoor basketball court. Right next to the basketball game was an impromtu cricket match. Heads Up! BJ practicing his dribble.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012. BJ got his first haircut as a 2-year-old. Once again, I had the honors of cutting his hair. It actually goes quite well if you sit BJ in front of the tv :) Instead of Veggie Tales, BJ has taken an interest in Curious George. I was able to cut his hair in only 1 episode! It's a record for me:).
