I swear, it seems like a month ago that I wrote Hang on 2016, I’m not Ready. And here we are again, staring at another round of New Years resolutions. But because the arrival of 2017 is as inevitable as Donald Trump taking office, I am begrudgingly taking stock of what I did/did not do well in 2016 and setting some goals for the new year.

Anyway - it was the FS Series Washington NC Olympic Triathlon on July 25, 2015. And. it ended up being a pretty good race. This past Saturday, I participated in the Triangle Open Water Mile Swim Series. WHAT IS THAT ISLAND OF DEAD TREES WE HAVE TO SWIM TO? WHY IS THERE A WEIRD, SWIRLING-LOOKING PART IN THE WATER OVER THERE? That no one else noticed). WE HAVE TO SWIM OUT, TREAD WATER AND THEN START SWIMMING? OH, HELL NO!
