Redenii in Wellies: September 2011
http://redeniideutschland.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Day 2: More Oktoberfest. It was a gorgeous Friday, and we took full advantage of it with a great walk past so many of my favorite places, including Viktualienmarkt with its beautifully displayed wares. Jeremy and Scott took time out from work to join us for lunch. I was skeptisch, but it appears that there is a good Mexican restaurant in Munich. It was like we happened upon a unicorn. Jeremy comically pretends not to notice how adorable they are. Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

Redenii in Wellies: Art Buying
http://redeniideutschland.blogspot.com/2011/09/art-buying.html
Monday, September 26, 2011. While I got to pretend to be a buyer at an art auction in a movie last week, I for real got to buy art from the infamous Julie this week. Infamous is when you're more than famous. like El Guapo. You can see her art blog here. And you can even buy your own original Julie painting here. I'm pretty jazzed about owning my second Julie painting; here is the zoomed out view of its placement. I agree it's a little weird that we have our microwave above the fridge. I love the painting!

Redenii in Wellies: Day 3: Best Oktoberfest Breakfast Ever
http://redeniideutschland.blogspot.com/2011/10/day-3-best-oktoberfest-breakfast-ever.html
Saturday, October 1, 2011. Day 3: Best Oktoberfest Breakfast Ever. I might mention that we had a free hotel from Jeremy's work this evening but stayed with them because we so prefer their company. Um, I'm sure they prefer ours too. It was probably like having raccoons. Instead of throwing us out though, they made us the best breakfast ever: French toasted pretzels with blueberry sauce! We were so not worthy. You can see how Julie did it and learn fascinating bits about French toast here. Bad Tölz Bird Art.

Redenii in Wellies: April 2011

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Final Cornwall Hike: Fowey and Polruan. Our final hike was definitely our favorite. With all the tropical vegetation and turquoise water, this one felt sort of like we walked from England to Greece. We started in the town of Fowey, pronounced like Foy, where we spent a few hours strolling around the peninsula on the Fowey side. The hike started in town past doors this cute. Then took us past numerous secluded beaches. And many a happy cow grazing on Gribbin Head. We visited the...

Redenii in Wellies: March 2011
http://redeniideutschland.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. Bergamo, Lake Iseo, Milan. We spent the first weekend of March in the cute northern Italian town of Bergamo where my friend Matt's people are from. I was pretty certain the old town would be charming but was pleasantly surprised by the "new town" which is also totally old and remarkable. We stayed in a great hotel there called Petronilla. Near these fun colored buildings. Where they left us neat snacks. Who likes her mozzarella and her whisky very smoky. Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

Sunday, October 16, 2011. Chicago for Nick and Joy's Wedding. How adorable are my cousin Nick and his sweet bride Joy? This is a wedding I've long anticipated, excited as we've all been to get Joy in our family. There was no way we were missing this. My whole family concurred. Here we are at a cute pub between the beautiful wedding and reception. And Julie Spahn, Cousin Beth says hi! Before my plane left, we also squeezed in a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago. And CVS! Thanks so much guys! We were so...

Redenii in Wellies: September 2010

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. No Stairway, Denied! As a supporting artiste (fancypants for extra) one must really come to terms with intense rejection. Last week, I felt like I was so busy and important. I was pencilled in (kind of a binding agreement for me but not the other parties) for Tuesday: documentary on the Gone with the Wind lady, Wednesday: photoshoot for a Christmas advert for Marks and Spencer, Thursday: Fitting for Captain America with filming the whole next week! Like Joey Tribiani, I may...

Redenii in Wellies: June 2011
http://redeniideutschland.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. How my neck got so sunburned. Our travels this weekend brought us to the seaside town of Eastbourne where we hiked the white cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters. We tackled this in one excellent day trip, waking up kind of early to take the 8:47 train and hour and a half from Victoria Station to our starting point. The day started a bit cool and hazy, great weather for hiking but not so much for views or pictures. Thursday, June 23, 2011. I think I've been to all the big st...
