Monday, June 1, 2015. Family on the move. This past spring was the first season that we have had THREE kids in different sports. Tyler and Jackson played flag football and Amy played soccer. Most Saturdays found us on the fields for the entire day! But the kids had a blast.so it was well worth it! This season for Tyler was.a character builder. He played the hardest he could as quarterback.receiver.and defender but lost every game. And he was an immovable defender. All in all.Tyler had a great season!

Monday, May 18, 2015. For the last year or so, we have had several other families in our home every Sunday morning to worship with us as home church. It has been such a sweet time of fellowship and growth together. Because of it's intimacy, Jason wanted to do something special for Mother's Day.so he had each of the kids prepare a short note of appreciation. The messages were short.but incredibly sweet and meaningful. It was definitely a picture of Proverbs 31:28:.

For some reason.Elsa and Anna are very near and dear to her heart.and it is the first choice for any time Hailey's movie selection comes up. So for her birthday.it was a no-brainer.it was going to be a Frozen party! And build a snowman we did. Each of the girls grabbed their mom and wrapped.and wrapped.and wrapped.

Tuesday, May 12, 2015. One of our favorite traditions since moving to NC is picking fresh strawberries. We suffer through a year long of eating grocery store tasting fruit.and count down the days till we can pick some of our own. Picking strawberries is usually best done with friends. So they can help you pick out the very best one. Help you hold your bucket. Help you sample the first strawberry of the season. And help point out all of the juice on your chin! She feels a sense of camaraderie with them.

Thursday, January 29, 2015. She has made incredible strides since beginning the program, and her teachers have been phenomenal! They loved my girl so much, and I know the feeling was definitely mutual! However, after just a few short weeks into this new school year, I felt the Lord tugging at my heart to bring Addy-Kate home. I started to notice some small changes in my girl, and after chatting with her teachers, it was confirmed that Addy needed to be home MORE than she needed school. He is so good!

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Our Elf is B-A-C-K! Since 2008, Santa has graciously sent one of his little helpers to our home to spend the Christmas holidays with us! The kids anxiously await our elf, Sam's, appearance each year, and can't wait for him to make his much anticipated arrival! He always appears the day after Thanksgiving, and usually brings a very special North Pole breakfast with him! I just LOVE seeing my kids faces light up when they see Sam, and all the Christmas surprises he brought them!

Sunday, April 27, 2014. The big boys each received a new fishing pole in their Easter basket last Sunday morning. And since then, they have been BEGGING to use them. Shane told the boys that if they helped him out around the house ( without complaining. With the yard work and such, he would take them fishing Saturday afternoon. The kids worked really hard, and after each of their tasks were complete, we loaded up the fishing gear and headed to the lake, as promised. We made a CATCH! Links to this post.

Saturday, September 27, 2014. So last week, my sweet Sophie Lu turned S-I-X! Six years ago, the world became a sweeter place when this five pound, blue eyed, blond haired beauty made her grand debut! She is a true blessing from above and a constant reminder of the Lord's goodness and faithfulness to us! Sophie woke up to streamers dangling from her bedroom door and all of us were there to greet her with hugs, kisses and birthday wishes. What did she get? Anna and Elsa, of course! It was quite the hit;).
