Here we are right after Christmas in front of the Bixby bridge near Big Sur when I went to visit B's hometown for the first time. Notice that it was VERY windy that day! Curby and Gina ( 2) in Virginia. Friday, May 29, 2009. While we were there, my mom and dad celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary! They went to a dinner show featuring Arabian horses. Gina and I stayed home and rested, which was nice considering how busy the last few months have been. The best man from our wedding, David, and his family live in Orlando, so they came over to see us one evening. Sam and Nate were amazed by the big boys, and we had a nice time talking about old times and having dinner.

Curby and Gina ( 2) in Virginia. Monday, May 11, 2009. The boys and I got Gina some new beach clothes to take to Orlando in a couple of weeks. She has been wanting some new things, and Sam and Nate sure know how to get their mom what she likes. I also made her one my famous fruit smoothies, which Gina is convinced caused the boys to be so big when they were born. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY GINA! Sounds like you had an ideal one! There's nothing like knowing you have 3 strong males to take care of you. . .

Curby and Gina ( 2) in Virginia. Thursday, February 05, 2009. Super Bowl Birthday Bash. I can hardly believe I am writing this note. It was a year ago. That we first got to meet the boys for the first time and began our adventure of adjusting to life with babies in the picture (actually, over 50GB of pictures and video! We've had our highs (all the Firsts) and our lows (sleepless nights), but through it all we have come to love Sam and Nate more each day and can't imagine life before they came.

Nate's about to burst with excitement! First, Gina and I officially turned in the final versions of our dissertations this week. I know what you are thinking, "Didn't they already do that? The final, and most exciting, piece of news is that I recently accepted a faculty position at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Curby and Gina ( 2) in Virginia. Thursday, August 28, 2008. New Toys for Big Boys. Well, fast forward to 2008. Gina and I finally got a baby bike trailer for Sam and Nate! Basically soaked. The next step is to hook that bad boy up to my bike and cruise around Charlottesville, but we have to wait until they are a little older and have bike helmets.
