http://funwithhalversons.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Families that PLAY together STAY together. Sunday, August 2, 2009. Is it me, or is blogging becoming a thing of the past - being replaced by Facebook? I just looked over the past 3 months of blogs I started but haven't posted and there are NINE incomplete and unpublished posts for me! And unfortunately, once you get behind, it's hard to catch up! Thank you, friends, who are still keeping up on your blogs! Okay, it is really my 44th birthday - but don't tell! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hansen Family Dent...

Families that PLAY together STAY together. Monday, March 23, 2009. Headwinds, 11 Cents, and Energy Gel. I probably could have gotten off my bike and pushed it up the hill faster than I was riding. When I was going up that steep stretch, I noticed a penny on the ground and then a dime. Anyone who knows me knows that I. Going back down the hill, I hit a top speed of 42 mph going down that stretch that slowed me to 4.2 going up. 10 times faster! Now, here's the energy gel story: Rick made his own homemade v...

Families that PLAY together STAY together. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Prom Dress Pursuit - Part 2. I put together the bodice today and tried it on Whitney and she LOVES it! I'm so excited. She also likes the sparkly lace on the bodice so we're keeping it. I just have a make a small (yes, Whitney, I said small) adjustment to the bust so it won't gap, but otherwise, it's coming along! Prom Dress Pursuit - Part 1. I'm a little nervous (don't tell Whitney) because I want it to be perfect for her! With Kendal...

Families that PLAY together STAY together. Thursday, July 23, 2009. Backpacking, Painting, Silverwood, and a Headache. Rick and Chase were gone this week backpacking with the Scouts. So I promised the girls we would do something fun. We started the week by painting the girls' room (going from pastel yellow and lavender to red, cream, and black). After pictures to come if the girls ever get their room clean]. Tremors - what a photo op! Aftershock - yes it was! The end of a PERFECT day! Jay and Wendy Turner.

To celebrate the holiday our bike team, Breast Friends, cooked together, ate together and then watched Julie and Julia. Families that PLAY together STAY together. Thursday, October 29, 2009. BVI - Third Time's a Charm! Rick and I have been blessed to go to the British Virgin Islands not once (which would have been great), not twice (which would have been even better), but. In the past four years! This trip brought with it new friends, new adventures, new places, and new memories. We were happy to not only spend time with Trevor and Shelli, but to also get to know better the Heidens and the Despains. Grocery shopping was a...

Families that PLAY together STAY together. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Kendall dressed up like a flapper for an institute party. She actually made this dress herself a few months ago for a murder mystery dinner that she was a part of. Tara as Snow White. I didn't finish making Tara's dress until 5 minutes before she was supposed to leave - thus, my title of Queen of Procrastination remains! Tara and Sarah - a pirate and his (her) wench. Aaarrgh. The Halverson Family: My 29th Birthday!
http://funwithhalversons.blogspot.com/2009/08/my-29th-birthday.html
Families that PLAY together STAY together. Sunday, August 2, 2009. Okay, it is really my 44th birthday - but don't tell! The first thing we noticed was that the community sprayed for mosquitos! Our plan was to mostly mountain bike - which we did on the first day - riding 24 miles round trip up and back along the Deschutes River. I only fell a couple of times and only skinned one knee! When we got home, the kids had made this nice birthday cake for me! Cute cake.GROSS bat.but kinda funny. Love ya, L.
