whatnow: 43 Days.
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2015/06/43-days.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. This blog contains holding spots for 82 post drafts- thoughts that have entered my head, been scribbled down quickly (as much as "scribbling" applies to something you do on a keyboard), and promptly forgotten. Here I am ignoring those drafts for another day, but checking things off of my huge to-do list. Who decided weddings had to be so involved? And I'm keeping things simple. So many different types of hanging lanterns! 43 days, kids. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

whatnow: Getting bored.
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2015/02/getting-bored.html
Tuesday, February 03, 2015. I miss writing. I spend so much time googling and scrolling through Instagram and retweeting that I never seem to have any energy or drive left to sit down and write here or in my journal. Dumb of me, I know. This week I'm following along with The Bold and Brilliant Project. A challenge put forth by podcast New Tech City. Or (heaven forbid) even a minute of boredom is a bad thing. I give my brain zero downtime. Don't take any photos. Be present. And hey, here I am writing!

whatnow: There's no place like
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2013/05/theres-no-place-like.html
Saturday, May 18, 2013. There's no place like. I looked at bedroom furniture the other day, as in I went shopping for a bedroom set. Not sure if I can get much more domestic/adult/settled than that without having a baby in my arms and a Kitchenaid mixer on my counter. In a related experience, I had an enlightening conversation with my cousin Trevor. I think there are ways to progress and grow without having to travel the world. That "exciting" isn't for all of us. I've spent the past 6 years moving anywh...

whatnow: What's yours?
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2012/02/whats-yours.html
Wednesday, February 08, 2012. I loved this response. Can I put in my two cents? Because I'm a realist- and a Mormon. Visit a 14-year old boy in New York? And that's fine. They can say what they want about us, because I know how difficult it is to understand a culture and a mindset you're not a part of. After all, I don't understand them. I don't understand how they condemn our women and mothers for their dedication to being. I will try my very best not to criticize their choices if they won't berate me f...

whatnow: not my will
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2013/06/not-my-will.html
Saturday, June 22, 2013. This post goes out to the single kids. A few months ago, Elder Bednar gave a CES fireside entitled "That We Might Not Shrink.". Do you have the faith not. If it is the will of our Heavenly Father that you are transferred by death in your youth to the spirit world to continue your ministry, do you have the faith to submit to his will and not be healed? When the teacher told this story on Sunday and asked that question, I instead heard: Do you have the faith to be alone? Today, rig...

whatnow: Be your best self.
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2012/10/be-your-best-self.html
Monday, October 15, 2012. Be your best self. I've been really struggling with this one for the past few months. I got into the terrible habit of always asking, "What am I. It was self-destructive and a slippery slope to waking up with zero confidence or self worth. I let myself fall stagnant for a lot of months thinking I was broken. Plus, who wants to be around someone who thinks nothing of them self? Who has no hope that their life will change for the better? It's not a good place to be. Is wrong. ...

whatnow: the band
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-band.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. Has been together for a year now. Time flies. We headlined our first show last week. Even though it was a small thing, it was definitely our best show yet. We debuted two new songs and had a blast- and even recruited another band member. Things are happening! Here are some phone-quality videos taken from the show by various friends. whatnow: The Church.
http://littleslately.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-church.html
Thursday, October 18, 2012. One thing we (and I) say often is that the gospel. Is perfect, but the people (including the organization) are certainly not. At the same time, though, we're doing our best, and I think the church does a pretty exceptional job at both fitting in with the world and staying separate from its values. That's getting tougher as time goes on, but they're trying. Side note: I read this article. This week, and I've been mulling it over. I know as much- and probably more- than them!
