Lenses – how do we see the world? Photography, Justice, Technology, Politics, Life, Faith and Poverty. HP damaging or opportune? April 14, 2010 in Uncategorized. So as I see it a hung parliament has the following risks associated with it – I’m sure there are others but these are the big ones. Policy is watered down. Risk of unstable government. 8211; internationally speaking this would weaken the role that the UK can play in major international negotiations such as COP. No work gets done. Now that paints...

Lenses – how do we see the world? Photography, Justice, Technology, Politics, Life, Faith and Poverty. October 13, 2010 in Uncategorized. Interesting fact of the 44 most visited websites in the world not a single one produces its own content. Imagine Heineken creating an application for Heineken loving football fans to be directed to the nearest pub to them which serves a refreshing pint of Heineken. Or an ethical shopping app which allows you to find out which stores don’t use child labour in ...Enter y...

Lenses – how do we see the world? Photography, Justice, Technology, Politics, Life, Faith and Poverty. Budget day – cuts ahoy! March 23, 2011 in Uncategorized. I just wanted to flag again my latest post. About Vodafone and the missing 6bn in tax that they have deftly dodged. It now appears that Camden Council, facing massive cuts to funding in frontline services, is being asked by the local Green Party to end it’s contract with Vodafone. Follow me on Twitter. So alongside Nestle’s less than excellent track record with ethics comes a less than excellent advert. I remember the first time I saw it I was confounded that this was the final result. So I’ve been watching the campaigning and activism that has been happening recently around the alleged unpaid taxbill that Vodafone has been avoiding/let-off. Answers on a Postcard. April 16, 2010. A day in the life of me. I have been inspired by the blog of our good friends John and Armorel Salberg who are documenting their year in Tanzania with a daily blog. It struck me that their blog so wonderfully tells what life is like in Africa by the strange combination of slow pace and crazy interludes. That’s how it is for us here, only less crazy interludes and we are probably less busy! But part of me knows that the grass will always be greener on the other side.

Answers on a Postcard. Monthly Archives: April 2010. April 25, 2010. And I am having some interesting revelations about our own lives as humans as I learn about how you shouldn’t plant too many seeds for the amount of space you have, how you need to let some things die in order for others to live (I had to massacre a load of rocket seedlings as I planted too many seeds), and about how you need to plant things after weeding or the weeds just grow back. As a ginger man and a Labour party member I thought I’d write to Harriet following her “ginger rodent” comment. Below is a copy of my email. Of COURSE not, so why did you pull such a cheap shot? Lenses – how do we see the world? Photography, Justice, Technology, Politics, Life, Faith and Poverty. Great videos: BUPA advert. April 12, 2011 in Video. I really like this advert from BUPA and I’ve seen a shorter edit of this as well. Great soundtrack (Marina and the Diamonds) and a really positive message for what BUPA claim they can do for you, whatever your age. Disclaimer – I’m not commenting on private healthcare here, just the fact that this advert is a BRILLIANT advert. Follow me on Twitter.
